The engine was totally rebuilt with Clem's own flywheels, pistons, pushrods, cams, etc. bringing to the bike a total displacement from 61 (1000cc) to 85 c.i. (1400cc). He mounted two Dellorto carburators instead of the original Amal ones. The bike didn't have an oil tank to reduce weight, the oil was carried in the transmission case which acted as an oil reservoir. The frame was completely homemade from aluminium, resulting on a bike weight of 260 pounds (118 kg).
